I dared to submit a paper claim from a medical equipment supplier of my choosing.It was for legitimate, covered equipment.

Anthem denied it under the bogus reason that information was missing or illegible. The supplier provided a pre-printed form, and info that they didn't fill in was provided by me. It was filled out correctly and legibly. The Claims customer service number has no provision to talk to a representative, and there is no email contact provided by Anthem.

They deliberately make it almost impossible to contact them quickly and efficiently. Look up internet reviews of Anthem, and they are overwhelmingly negative.

There's a reason for this.Think twice before you choose this company as your insurer.
